Faros Challenge is a non-competitive event - Solo/Relay swim across the Stari Grad Bay at Hvar Island which is one of the ten world’s best vacation islands and the most beautiful islands for open water swimming. Amateur swimmers participate in this marathon swim along the same route of the unique Faros Maratón - one of the world's most prestigious open water swimming events which is a member of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, part of the World Swimming Majors and one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims.

According to the our Rules: Each swimmer/relay team have his own accompanying boat with driver during

the swim who navigate a swimmer; Each swimmer/relay team is also accompanying by one fast boat with officials

and medicalteam (two doctors); Each swimmer/relay team must have written Confirmation of being medically fit

to compete, signed by a sports physician; Each swimmer is insured from any possible accident during

this marathon swim; Each swimmer gets a gift with official shirt, cap and souvenirs, also the official

Faros Challenge Certificate and unique Faros Challenge Medal at dinner after swim; Time limit is 7

hours, ie. 3,25 hrs. at the turning point.
